Starting December 2013, Wirecard customers will already be able to use the new SEPA interface to process SEPA B2C direct debits.
SEPA Credit Transfer processings will be available (e.g. for refunds) in December 2013.
31 January 2014 is the last day before the switch to SEPA direct debit and credit transfer takes place
All banks in Euro-Zone countries will switch to the SEPA procedure for their financial transactions on 1 February 2014. There will no longer be any difference between national and cross-border transactions. The previously used national procedures and file formats will no longer be accepted.
Wirecard customers who are unable to make the switch to SEPA by February 2014 can take advantage of Wirecard's conversion service. In a transitional solution, Wirecard will continue providing the national direct debit and credit transfer procedures for Germany and Austria after February 2014 until merchants have managed to complete their migration to SEPA.
Beginning March 2014 the conversion service may be used in parallel with SEPA processing during the merchant's SEPA migration phase.
