Worldwide payment with Android smartphones

Wirecard lets merchants take advantage of fast, cashless payments for products and services via a mobile device with Google Pay™. The Google payment service transforms your customers’ smartphones into contactless virtual credit cards.

Thanks to Google Pay, your customers can pay with their smartphones fast and simply, whether they are making purchases on websites, in apps, or in stores. The only requirement is the simple step of saving their debit or credit card details in the mobile payment app. Then they can start paying without cash, provided that their phone is equipped with an NFC chip and the point-of-sale terminal supports the EMV® Contactless payment standard. And as it is simple to integrate, you can even offer your customers a seamless payment experience within a few days.

Maximum Security for Contactless Payment by Smartphone

Google Pay protects your customer’s payment info with multiple layers of security, using one of the world's most advanced security infrastructures to help keep customer accounts safe. Each payment must be authenticated by a fingerprint to confirm the user’s identity and prevent unauthorized payments. Sums of up to 25 euros can be paid contactlessly without having to enter a PIN or confirm the payment. Then the customer simply holds their phone close to the reader while the screen is unlocked. If a smartphone is ever lost, all of the data can be deleted remotely or a new password assigned.

Google Pay (formerly Android Pay) does even more: all payments are thoroughly documented and a digital receipt is issued for each purchase showing the amount, date, time, and place. Customer and loyalty cards can also be stored in the app to let your customers continue to take advantage of attractive discounts and redeem loyalty points.
