Wirecard takes over payment processing for new Tamaris online shops
Integrated payment processing for online shops in Germany and Austria.
The Detmold-based Wortmann Group, Europe’s largest shoe manufacturer and the market leader for fashionable ladies shoes, has decided to work together with Wirecard AG. The payment service provider, with international operations, will take over payment processing for the Tamaris brand’s new online shops in Germany and Austria.
The Wortmann Group’s collections are sold in more than 15,000 shoe stores in over 70 countries around the world. The “Tamaris” brand is particularly successful. Since September 2012, customers can now also select products from a broad range of ladies shoes, handbags and accessories online at www.tamaris.de and www.tamaris.at. The strategic alliance with the payment and risk management specialist Wirecard spans several types of payment, credit card payment acceptance and risk management solutions.
Jans Beining, Managing Partner with Wortmann Schuh-Holding KG commented: “We now sell more than half of our products abroad. A well-known partner such as Wirecard, with its international experience, is helping us to do just that with its secure, user-friendly solutions.”
The customer project was realized together with NETRADA, the full service eCommerce partner of Tamaris. Wirecard and NETRADA have a strategic alliance in the Fashion segment, to offer industry-specific solutions for payment and risk management.
