Onur Air private airline becomes Wirecard’s client
Additional sales channel with BSP connection
Wirecard AG has gained Onur Air, a private airline in Turkey, as a client. The airline is now using the International Air Transport Association (IATA) interface for the billing and settlement plan (BSP) via Wirecard’s multi-channel payment gateway for the first time. This now allows Onur Air to process ticket sales even more quickly and easily.
Onur Air is a member of IATA and its headquarters are based in Istanbul. As one of Turkey’s leading private airlines, Onur Air flies on a scheduled basis from Istanbul Atatürk Airport to 8 international destinations in 6 countries and to 17 of the most popular domestic destinations in Turkey. The flight network was recently expanded to include the major European cities of Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Paris and Vienna.
“Wirecard immediately recognised our requirements for process optimisation and offered the perfect solution,” comments Teoman Tosun, CEO of Onur Air. “The standardised BSP process allows us to operate with greater efficiency and offer our international customers secure processing of payment flows.”
Jan Ruebel, Head of Sales Travel & Mobility at Wirecard, comments: “Our individually customised solutions are aimed at leading airlines worldwide. As a partner of IATA, we are delighted to add another airline to our client portfolio with Onur Air.”
Wirecard already manages a comprehensive range of services in the field of payment processing and risk management for a number of airlines. Customers benefit from the global market penetration of Wirecard, which also holds a full banking licence, and advance their own international growth.
