NEOCOM 2013: Wirecard supports merchants for SEPA conversion
Wirecard is exhibiting at NEOCOM and will be presenting its payment and risk management tools as well as solutions for SEPA conversion.
The payment expert Wirecard is exhibiting at NEOCOM (October 29 - 30 in Düsseldorf/Germany) in Hall 33, Stand 403 and will be presenting its payment and risk management solutions for all sales channels – online, offline and mobile – that allow smooth international payment transactions.
At present the transition to SEPA is of particular importance for shop operators given this background. The Single Euro Payment Area will create a uniform, pan-European payment area, and merchants will have to adjust their direct debit methods in good time. However, at the same time this opens up additional potential for them: SEPA offers consumers barrier-free shopping in 32 European countries. Merchants will obtain access to new sales markets and customer groups. The Wirecard Group helps shop operators to fully exploit this potential.
Christa Wagner, Executive Vice President Sales Consumer Goods with Wirecard commented: “We offer a conversion service for Germany and Austria to merchants who have failed to convert to SEPA before the deadline, in order to bridge the period through to conversion. We automatically turn bank sorting codes and account numbers in the background into IBAN and BIC, so that all transactions can run smoothly. However, shop operators are still subject to the general SEPA rules from 1 February 2014.”
