Wirecard AG is to collaborate with T-Systems International GmbH, a global supplier of information and communications technology. The company’s clients include multinational corporations and public bodies. They will now be able to benefit from Wirecard solutions. The two companies together hope to support the retail sector with the future-oriented digitisation of payment and purchasing processes. One such solution is Wirecard’s ConnectedPOS platform.
Dirk Rumler, VP Center of Excellence at T-Systems: “Digitisation has changed the face of retail – this means that it is becoming ever more important to connect online and mobile shopping channels with the point of sale. Together with Wirecard, we are now able to bring innovative services to the market and shape the networked future of retail. Our collective offering consists of till infrastructure and POS services, which generate additional value added for our customers and secures us an improved competitive edge.”
Alexander Hahn, Vice President POS Retail Solutions at Wirecard: “Our partnership with T-Systems means that we have access to an attractive market environment, both nationally and internationally, and can optimally position our solutions within the retail sector. Our ConnectedPOS platform represents an ideal addition for any retailer, whether small or large. It places the customer right at the heart, meaning that retailers can implement value added services in a customer-oriented and cost-efficient manner, thereby creating a personalised purchase experience.
Wirecard’s intelligent ConnectedPOS platform allows retailers to network payment processes at the point of sale (POS) quite conveniently. The end customer ultimately benefits from a cross-channel shopping experience: online, mobile and in-store. At the same time, retailers can communicate relevant value-added services to their customers and manage customer loyalty programmes effectively via vouchers and coupons. ConnectedPOS can be easily rolled out for both complex and heterogenous infrastructures, without requiring the existing till system to be changed.
