Interview:

System Analyst
Collection & BI

Radovan Z.

Radovan, how long have you been working at Wirecard?
I have been working here since 2005, although there was a short break of nine months in the middle. I "returned home" to Wirecard because the company works with the latest techniques. That is a major opportunity for me as a software developer.
What is different at Wirecard compared with other companies?
On the one hand, we work in a well-organised and structured environment, but on the other, we are given great freedom to develop and grow. I started as a database specialist and now work as software developer in the division of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence.

Wirecard is perfect for any software developer wanting to work with the latest techniques.

What techniques do you work with?
Scrum, for example. I was there when Scrum was introduced at Wirecard. Scrum is a practice known as agile software development. The method is based on the experience that most modern development projects are too complex and cannot be planned from A to Z. Instead of the standard detailed list of requirements, there is a vision of the product: articulated functions from the user's perspective. At Wirecard, we gradually move towards finalising a certain product by completing shorter sprints. The advantage is that we can respond to new requirements with greater flexibility and therefore increase our efficiency. Projects are then concluded more quickly. I will say this: Wirecard is perfect for any software developer wanting to work with the latest techniques.

How does Wirecard support your professional development?
I have already attended a number of courses, learnt many programme languages and used new tools. Professional development is possible at any time at Wirecard.
