Team Lead, Retail & Consumer Goods, Professional Services, AP

The role of a Team Lead is to ensure end-to-end project delivery across the team, define and communicate its objectives. The Team Lead is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the operations of the own team. He/She creates an environment of open communication, learning, maintains work systems & procedures. He/she also coordinates activities that enable and encourage the high performance of the team members, and acts as the first point of escalation.

Core Responsibilities

  • You will be the line manager (m/f) your respective team members (incl. budget/cost center responsibility), consisting of (senior) project managers, (senior) test managers and senior solution consultants
  • Set up and monitor project standards for highly complex client projects in the area of payment card acquiring, issuing, payment service provider, value added services and mobile payments from pre-sales until launch through the professional services global delivery framework
  • Prepare and participate in client steering committees and be first escalation contact for client management
  • Ensure delivery of client projects by guiding the requirements engineering process and setup of all technical components, also taking into account the legal and commercial framework
  • Ensure proper handover to the operations team after successful launch
  • Provide business approval (sign-off) of changes / releases according to Wirecard's Change Management Policy
  • Growing and forming a regional team of highly trained individuals to ensure in-quality, at-cost and in-time delivery of projects
  • Liaising with relevant product, technology, operations, support & other professional services teams within Wirecard Group globally on best practices & processes to ensure high level of engagement and compliance by the team members
  • Building and managing relationships with Wirecard’s regional sales units in order to ensure broad market exposure of Wirecard's solution portfolio
  • Initiating and revising improvements (solutions and processes)
  • Presenting Wirecard's Acquiring & Issuing products and solutions both internally and externally (for example at in-house exhibition, industry events etc.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • Experience in a client facing leading role in pre-sales to managing complex and highly time critical software implementation projects in payments industry
  • Experience in Merchant Acquiring and servicing industry with strong knowledge of payments acceptance products (in-store, mobile, online including QR code wallets)
  • Knowledge of POS products (Linux & Android based), Payment Gateways, E-Commerce & Cloud based solutions etc
  • Knowledge of Asia Pacific payments industry trends in key markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Australia
  • Existing experience in managing & developing teams both locally & in the region is desirable
  • Strong analytical, excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to partner effectively with our stakeholders and teams
  • Hands on mentality while keeping focus on strategic objectives
  • Ability to structure complex tasks
  • Fresh ideas and the ability to think outside the box in helping us to develop innovative software solutions corresponding to our motto of "Making Payment Happen"
