Solution Consultant, Professional Services, APAC

As the Solutions Consultant, Professional Services, s/he will be managing our client projects and provide technical solutions to Wirecard customers based on client specifications.

The successful candidate must possess a good understanding of online payment gateway system to perform this role. Besides that, the role is required to support the sales team on by attending pre-sales meeting and gathering customer’s requirement for proposal preparation.

This role will be reporting to the Team Lead Professional Services Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Becoming an expert of Wirecard’s product and solution portfolio in Acceptance & Issuing.
  • Understanding and identifying a client’s needs, processes and technical landscape (including RFI and RFP response compilation) as part of technical pre-sales support to sales.
  • Provide customers with consulting regarding all Wirecard solutions and products including conducting workshops at customer’s premises.
  • Collecting, defining and documenting project scopes amd solution requirements (in workshops or other settings) with clients leading to subsequent solution design.
  • Advising and cooperating with various stakeholders (eg. Client, sales, project managers, implementation managers, product and technical teams, operations, support teams) throughout a client’s entire project life cycle (including pre-sales & change request).
  • Act as key coordinator for successful on-boarding of key merchants with internal teams.
  • Taking the customer’s perspective in order to agree on a solution.
  • Being a technical reference point or knowledge hub to support sales team with business and inquiries regarding Wirecard solutions.
  • Offering trainings, mentoring and knowledge transfer to other Experts and Professionals.
  • Initiating and revising improvements (solutions and processes).
  • Scouting and evaluation of innovative concepts and trends.


  • Bachelor Degree in IT, Computer Science, engineering or a related field
  • Experience as Technical Solution Consultant or Business Analyst working in Merchant Acquiring and servicing industry with strong knowledge of payments acceptance products (in-store, mobile & online)
  • Strong technical knowledge of POS products, Payment Gateways, Transaction Switching, E-Commerce, Tokenization & Cloud based solutions etc
  • Functional knowledge of alternative payment methods, relevant alternative payment providers in the region (Alipay, WeChat Pay etc.), in-country wallets, QR code based payments etc.
  • Strong analytical, excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to partner effectively with our stakeholders and teams.
  • Fluent communication skills in English and local language.
  • Willing to travel as much as the business requires.
  • Enthusiastic and self-driven personality.
