Quality Assurance Engineer , Customer Management

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all User Stories are tested thoroughly and accepted before deployment. The role will involve in developing and executing exploratory and functional tests to ensure product quality.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role requires frequent interaction with the Business Analyst to ensure that User Stories have properly defined Acceptance Criteria and with the project team in Singapore and Malaysia to ensure that defects are raised and resolved in a timely manner, and the the IT Delivery team to ensure a consistent and high quality end-product is delivered to users and will be critical for the overall health of the project.

The ideal candidate must have have experience in conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective. This role will be reporting to the Head of Customer Management APAC .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Produce and maintain SIT and UAT test scripts
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing and data validation
  • To work closely with relevant stakeholders on all testing issues encountered
  • To ensure all testing issues are resolved and test cases are completed on time
  • Provide timely updates to the project teams on the status of testing activities
  • Manage the UAT sign-off with documented test results and reports
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools (paid and open-source) and test strategies


  • Minimum 4 years and above relevant experience in User Acceptance / Front-End Testing roles
  • Experience testing with different browsers
  • Proven work experience in software development and quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (a plus)
  • Experience working in an Agile/ Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and is meticulous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
