Application Administrator, Product Platform Operations & Infrastructure

Working alongside our Infrastructure and support teams based in multiple regions, this role will provide support the day to day operations of our key applications. The role will be based in Wirecard Singapore’s office with the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve tickets for the different web-based applications in a timely manner
  • Deploy, operate, improve and support a wide range of systems and processes within the Wirecard payment stack
  • Take ownership and solve complex problems from end-to-end
  • Deliver highest standards in terms of service quality
  • Provide the application support toward installation, maintenance of the systems, patches and the new releases as directed including tests
  • Continuously improve monitoring solutions to minimize reaction times and avoid any impact on customer experience
  • Establish unified CI/CD processes for different technology stacks
  • Fully automate BAU and repetitive tasks
  • Create and maintain the operational documentation and knowledgebase articles for the applications
  • Work with teams across the globe in a follow-the-sun model


  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
  • Several years of network administration or implementation experience
  • Ability to grasp systems and processes quickly even if you have not worked with them before
  • Big picture thinking - Your solutions solve problems end-to-end
  • Strong Linux skills including scripting (e.g. Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl)
  • Strong experience with application and service automation using tools like Rundeck, Puppet, Ansible and others
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern application monitoring tools (e.g. Elastic Stack, AppDynamics)
  • Experience in working across multi-cultural, geographically distributed teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English


  • Diploma/Degree in related field or similar experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience
