Whether in agriculture, on construction sites or in temporary employment agencies: up to now, cash payments and cheques have been indispensable in many areas. But the manual processing required is time-consuming and prone to mistakes. There is also a high risk of theft.
As prepaid MasterCard cards, payout cards on the other hand enable automated payment with reduced risk. The paying companies hold a business account with Wirecard Bank AG for this purpose, from which the respective amount is debited as soon as they load a card. There are two types of payout cards available:
Temporary employment agencies often pay their staff in cash. Handling the resulting large cash reserves involves a high risk. Moreover, processing is time-consuming and prone to mistakes. Payout cards are safer and significantly reduce the costs per payment.
An example of a company payout card:
- Upon joining the company, a new employee receives a company payout card and the corresponding PIN for use at ATMs. At this point, the card does not hold any funds.
- On the first payment date, the employee presents the temporary employment agency with confirmation from his current employer. The agency then loads the card with the amount to be paid.
- The employee can use the card for cash withdrawals from an ATM immediately afterwards.
An example of a personalized payout card:
- The new employee registers for the personalized payout card, identifies himself via PostIdent and signs the card application form.
- Card and PIN are then personalized. The employee receives both in the mail.
- If he held a company payout card for the time until receiving the personalized payout card, he returns it to the temporary employment agency.
- In principle, anyone can load the personalized payout card by transfer, direct debit or using a credit card. The card owner can manage it via the web-based user interface at www.mywirecard.com."
