Wirecard extends scope of services for Airline Industry

More than 90 international airlines gain access to Wirecard through ADP CardClear

Berlin, Munich/ Grasbrunn; January 24, 2007; By January 30, 2007, Wirecard AG and Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP), one of the world’s largest independent computer services companies and outsourcing providers, join forces when Wirecard becomes member of ADP CardClear global network of 16 acquiring institutions and card organizations. The cooperation enables ADP’s 90+ international airlines to use Wirecard's payment processing and acquiring services.

ADP Clearing is a division of ADP Inc. Their ADP CardClear service is a unique credit card centralization solution for the airline industry, which enables airlines to centralize funds originating from over 60 International Air Transport Association (IATA) Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) countries as well as submission of airline direct sales through a single bank acquirer for settlement in the currency of their choice.

The CardClear service is endorsed by IATA as the preferred credit card centralization service for IATA airlines, providing global processing and settlement in conjunction with multi-currency capable acquirers.

As a Principal Member of JCB, one of Asia's leading credit card brands, Wirecard Bank AG adds JCB card acquiring capabilities to the ADP CardClear network and allows participating airlines to address more than 56 million JCB cardholders worldwide.
