Rammstein in a partnership with Wirecard

Tickets for German tour only available via the RAMMSTEIN web shop

Grasbrunn near Munich, June 10, 2009; Berlin band Rammstein is selling tickets for its German concert tour, which is starting in November, exclusively through its own online shop. For this purpose, it will be using the payment possibilities offered by Wirecard AG.

Wirecard AG has been providing electronic payment services for Rammstein’s online fan article shop for some years. This partnership has now been broadened with the sale of tickets for this year’s tour of Germany. Fans are able to buy tickets on line using a credit card or by direct debit.

"The partnership with Wirecard has proved itself over the past few years; so it was an obvious decision to also handle our direct ticket sales via them," says Stefan Mehnert, Rammstein Merchandising OHG.

"We are pleased to be able to support such an internationally known band as Rammstein with the sale of their concert tickets for the first time," adds Christian Reindl, head of E-commerce Sales at Wirecard AG.

Founded in Berlin in 1994, Rammstein has since become one of the most internationally successful German bands.
Tickets will be going on sale at www.rammsteinshop.de on June 12, 2009. By selling its tickets directly, Rammstein is seeking to clamp down on fraud and the extortionate prices charged by illegal ticket platforms.
