Paying with the new “Wirecard”

neu.de cooperates with new Internet payment service

Berlin, Munich/Grasbrunn, December 4, 2006; In future, neu.de customers will be able to use a new payment method: “Wirecard”, an account with Wirecard Bank AG in conjunction with a virtual MasterCard. Using “Wirecard”, payments can be made with millions of Internet merchants and mail-order houses across the globe that accept MasterCard. The costs of using the neu.de service can also be settled speedily and securely.

With more than 3.9 million registered members and between 10,000 and 20,000 new registrations each week, neu.de is one of the fastest-growing partner ex-changes in Europe.

In December, the absolute classic among Germany’s dating portals will go live again with a completely revamped graphic and technical relaunch. The site’s page layout, logo and color schemes have been completely overhauled and nu-merous improved features based on Web 2.0 technologies will make surfing on neu.de even safer and more convenient.

Customers of neu.de, Germany’s most well-known partner exchange, can look forward to a large number of additional functions following the relaunch of the newly styled dating platform. The key features in the wake of the relaunch in-clude enhanced member protection, extended and improved search functions, a friends list, an interactive event calendar as well as live updates based on instant messaging technology.

Sven Jan Arndt, General Manager at neu.de, is also confident about the com-pany’s common future with Wirecard: “We are always on the lookout for innova-tive solutions and products that make our dating portal more attractive and more user-friendly. Wirecard enables our customers to use the existing MasterCard acceptance for speedy and secure payments by collecting in advance.”

The procedure is extremely simple. After registering with www.wirecard.com in three steps, a Wirecard Bank account is immediately opened for the consumer, which he or she can fill or recharge by direct debit or transfer. As soon as the account reflects a credit balance, the system generates the "virtual" MasterCard. Registration is free; nominal costs are incurred for the account holder when re-charging the account.

For merchants with an existing MasterCard acceptance agreement, no addi-tional costs are incurred by payments via the “virtual” MasterCard associated with the account.
